Blaze Ceramics are handmade ritual pieces, born out of exploration of the beauty in the natural world, and how this intertwines with worlds beyond the veil. The magic of Blaze Ceramics is infused into the corporeal, the body, the form, through symbolism, motifs, memories, dreams and lived experiences. Each piece, created and imbued with intention, invites you to live slowly, invoke ritual, and use daily for connection to one's self and the realms beyond.
Meet The Maker
Meet Lily, the maker behind Blaze Ceramics. Raised in the bush of regional Victoria, Australia, her love for the natural world was also born here.
She grew up surrounded by landscapes that she found immensely inspiring, and this has been resonant in her work all throughout her life.
She was raised and surrounded by multitudes of creative people from a very young age, who taught her that art feeds the soul and is a way of life.
Lily has always instinctually found ways to express her internal world, and bring it into a form of expression and beingness by using her hands.
In school, art classes were her main focus. Studying many different mediums over the years, and with a constant exploration of different materials and modes of creation, always testing the limits of each one.
It wasn’t until she undertook a Bachelor of Fine Arts at RMIT when she really found her home in clay. She was able to hone and harness all the skills and techniques from this course, and produce the truest expressions of herself to date, launching her ceramics business shortly thereafter.
Since graduating, her love for sharing her art continues to grow as well as her commitment to authenticity in her work.
Lily’s art has always been a way to reveal parts of herself and a channel and projection of what’s prolific and blossoming in her internal landscapes.
